The Teaneck, NJ Fire Department responded to 245 Carlton Place on a reported house fire. Fire was located in the 2nd floor and attic of a 2.5 story wood frame. The fire broke out around 2am and members of the 4th Shift responded to the scene. Around 0300 hours after the main body of fire was knocked down, the fire lit back up and ran the attic area. Command ordered the evacuation of the fire building. Accountability was taken and an interior attack resumed. As conditions did not improve, the evacuation was ordered again. Outside lines and a deck gun from Engine Co.2 knocked down the heavy fire that broke through the roof.The fire was placed under control around 0400 hours. Hackensack Fire was assigned the FAST Team and Ridgefield Park Ladder as well as Engelwood Ladder worked at the fire. EMS and Box 54 were on scene for Rehab.
