Basement Fire Commercial Building

June 6,2009 East Orange Fire responded to 144 North Clinton Street on a reported fire. On arrival smoke was showing from a 1 story warehouse. Fire was located in the basement. Command struck the Signal 11 putting All Hands to work on arrival. Engine 1 stretched an attack line through the bilco doors that lead into the basement. Chemicals and contents were involved and the fire was knocked down in 5 minutes. Truck 1 checked the roof for extension with negative findings. The fire was under control in 15 minutes. | |
