Oct.10,2009 The East Orange,NJ Fire Department responded to the corner of Lincoln Street and Park Avenue on a reported house fire. The caller reported he could see fire from the bus stop. On arrival of Engine Co.1 and DC Mutti, nothing was showing but and oder of burning was in the air. Engine 1 investigated the area and found fire showing from the exterior wall of an occupied 2.5 story wood frame. DC Mutti transmitted the Signal 11 putting All Hands to work on arrival. Lines were stretched to the interior basement and exterior and quickly knocked down the fire. The fire was contained to the area of origin. The fire was placed under control in 20 minutes. | |
