FEB.16,2009 The East Orange,NJ Fire Department transmitted the box for a fire reported at 16 Carnegie off S.Arlington Ave. The Alarm Room advised units that 2 calls were received reporting the job. On arrival DC Mutti reported heavy fire showing from a 2.5 wood frame dwelling from the rear. An additional Ladder and FAST Team was special called. Interior lines were stretched to the 2nd and 3rd floors to hit the fire. Truck companies laddered the roof and performed ventilation. The lines had the fire darkened down in 10 minutes on both floors. The Red Cross was requested to the scene to assist in relocating the family. No injuries were reported. "A very nice stop by the EOFD!" Very aggressive interior firefighting held the fire to the rear rooms involved. | |
