"Top Floor Job"

At 08:52 hours on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, Newark fire dispatchers transmitted Box 5511 for a reported house fire at 35 Gobel St. Battalion Chief 4, Chief Wendt, who was in the area, reported a working fire on the top floor of a 2 1/2 story frame. Battalion Chief 5, Kevin Killeen arrived and transmitted a signal 11. Members of the first tour made a quick and aggressive interior attack and knocked down the fire in a few minutes. | |
