TURNS UP A WORKING FIRE!

FEB.6,2009 The City of Orange,NJ transmitted the box for an oder of smoke on Main Street. On arrival smoke was visible from the 1st fl and roof sky lights of a large 3 story brick and frame commercial structure. Units forced entry and advanced a line inside a store front to search for the seat of the fire. DC Mangenelli transmitted the Signal 11 putting West Orange to work as the FAST Team. The fire involved the 1st floor rear wall that divided the main 3 story structure from a large 1 story brick setback. The fire was under control in 20 minutes with no extension to the 2nd floor. If it was'nt for the fast response and swift action of the Orange Firefighters the end result could have been devastating. | |
